The aerial photographs can be used for a wide variety of purposes. They show the historic landscape of over 100 years ago, which shows the scars of World War I. Photographs of the front mainly show the lines of trenches, barbed wire fences, bunkers and artillery positions. Behind the front line, we mostly see the logistical hubs that kept the war going, as well as numerous tent and barrack camps. Even further away, we see dozens of airfields and large warehouses.
